Quote from the February 2008 Arts Houston Magazine
Page 38.........The most arresting works, however were the red impasto abstract paintings by Carrie Lee Allbritton. Particularly, Miner's Gold was a visually dynamic field of layered paint that created dimensions and texture. The color palette gradated from a dark mahogany to a deep red and eventually, a scorching orange. The left of the painting was dramatically interrupted with a single and shockingly bright-yellow linear splatter.
